Eligibility

Open Pantry's Teen Living Program guests are accepted through the closed referral system of the Massachusetts State Department of Transitional Assistance. The teenager must be eligible for TAFDC benefits and unable to live at home in order to be referred to live in a TLP. Teenagers can come into the program as young as 14 years old. They must stay in the TLP until their 18th birthday unless they find an adult relative to live with. At the age of 18 they are able to move out however they can stay in the TLP until the day of their 20th birthday.
